We are soliciting case studies.
Would you like to be a contributor to a case study or a case in point?
We hope that the case studies (as well as the "Case Study Template") presented on this website will provide you with the tenor and style that we are seeking from contributing case study authors. Also note, the term "local community" does not mean just a local government but any association of individuals that have worked together to:
1) strengthen local conservation or enhance the quality of their environment;
2) improved local livelihoods and economic conditions; and
3) enhanced the social vitality and quality of life for it's members.

If you are interested in authoring a case study for inclusion in this book, we encourage you to review expectations listed below and then send us your idea by contacting us with the information provided below. We could also offer an opportunity to provide a shorter "case-in-point" that is 500 words with one photo/illustration. We have an experienced editorial review team that will be reviewing all proposals and responding in a timely manner. If accepted, a complete first draft of a case study will be needed by the end of this spring 2019. We are currently in discussion with a publisher and anticipate that the book will be completed and published by fall 2019.
The case studies published on this website should give you an idea on what we are seeking from contributing authors. It is important to note that they are written using a personal narrative voice (with end notes) rather than the style of a typical academic paper. Each case study should have the sections displayed below.
Length: Minimum 1,500 words (4 pages, single spaced, 12 pt. font) Maximum 3,000 words (8 pages single spaced, 12 pt. font)
